My Review:

"MOXIE girls fight back!"

'MOXIE'by Jennifer Mathieu was the book I was always waiting for, it's such an empowering book and I smashed it out in 6 hours!! There must of been a blue moon out last night as I NEVERfinish books in one day, let alone 6 hours, but I just had to keep reading! There are no words for this book other then it was amazing!

'MOXIE'is about the story of how one girl, Vivian Carter, made a high-school-girl-revolution as she, and the rest of the female student body, is fed up with the sexist and misogynistic ways of their male peers. This book allows you to think and also to realise that standing up against this type of bullying is I M P O R T A N T!

The author's writing style was probably one of my favourite things about this book, not every author can pull off casualwriting but Jennifer Mathieu does it so perfectly! I think writing the book that way made the message stand out clearer and really made it pack a punch. The newsletters (it's a zine but, whatever 😉) featured in the book were so cute and added that extra something to this novel.

The characters in this book were all so lovely and well written and I especially loved Vivian as she was totally kick-butt! But Vivian wasn't the only fierce character in this book in fact; this book was littered with fierce and passionate women, which was totally amazing! To often in literature, and other forms of Pop Culture, we see women pitted against each other when they should be standing together. That's one of the key reasons why I loved this book because I saw girls of every 'clique' coming together, which is such an important thing to be representing!

In the end, this book was a complete 5 stars for me and I recommend this book to everyone. Anyway, I'm done rambling so I hope you enjoyed this review and hopefully you decide to pick up 'Moxie'. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!

Chloe :))
